Liberal Arts Seminar, Ritsumeikan University
Through Meeting-Style Classroom, students seek out what they are a little better at, or more knowledgeable about, than other people, and present it in English. Each student becomes an expert in a certain area and creates original content they can use again and again: a speech at a conference, small talk at dinner, or a conversation with the person next to them on a train. Teachers support students in developing their content and provide frameworks for expressing themselves.

The first half of the term focuses on communication and facilitation. After participants become accustomed to applying these skills, the focus shifts naturally to presentation skills. In the second half, the emphasis is on brushing up presentation techniques and contents so that each participant's message reaches the listeners.
